Kristina D. Dickens to Join ABA Business Law Spring Meeting as The Cannabis & Alcoholic Beverages Litigation Subcommittee Co-chair

Christopoulos Dickens’ Partner Kristina D. Dickens will join the American Bar Association Business Law Spring Meeting in New Orleans from April 24-26 as co-chair of The Cannabis & Alcoholic Beverages Litigation Subcommittee.

The subcommittee is co-sponsoring a CLE program titled “Challenges and Strategies for Addressing Human Trafficking through Business Law and Combatting Industry Risks in Sport, Gaming, Alcohol and Hospitality” on Thursday, April 24 at 10 AM CT. Kristina contributed to the program’s development, which equips attorneys to combat human trafficking risks through the strategic use of contracts, business protocols and regulatory compliance to promote accountability within the industries.

Kristina will lead the Cannabis & Alcoholic Beverages Litigation Subcommittee meeting, alongside fellow Co-chair KC Branch, principal of KC Branch, on Friday, April 25 at 4 PM CT. Building on the beverage and alcohol component of the previous day’s CLE, the session will expand on current litigation trends, regulatory shifts and enforcements within the beverage and alcohol industry as it relates to combatting human trafficking. Guest speaker Ernest P. Legier, Jr., Commissioner of Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control, will also provide insights on the latest regulatory updates.

The ABA Business Law Spring Meeting is an annual event that offers a wide range of CLE programs as well as numerous opportunities for networking for business law professionals and legal thought leaders.
