Dimitrios G. Christopoulos to Break Down Newly Mandated Sales Tax Rules for Leasing Dispensing Equipment on Behalf of ABDI

Dimitrios G. Christopoulos will provide an in-depth review of the new statutory requirement that took effect on January 1, 2025, mandating that distributors charge sales tax on all equipment leased to retailers. Dimitri will present the session “New Sales Tax Rules for Leasing Dispensing Equipment,” on Wednesday, March 12, at 8 am CT on behalf of the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois.

Dimitri will discuss key updates, including recent clarification from the Department of Revenue and the new requirement for distributers to charge retailers for both state sales taxes on all leased equipment. Leased property under this rule includes beer wagons, dispensing equipment and other rented items, which will be covered in more detail in the presentation.
