Dimitrios G. Christopoulos to Examine Advocacy and Defense in the Legislative Forum on Behalf of ABDI
Dimitrios G. Christopoulos will join Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois Vice President Christopher Coleman to share key insights on the role of government and stakeholders, lobbying regulations and the impact of financial contributions on policymaking in the ABDI Future Leaders session “Advocacy and Defense in the Legislative Forum.”
The two will discuss critical elements of government affairs, including the varied experiences of professionals in the field, the role of lobbyists, the influence of PACs size and corporate and individual contributions, as well as the legislative process. They will also cover stakeholders in Illinois’ alcohol distribution landscape and explore the idea of reputation as currency.

Christopher Coleman serves as Vice President of the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois (ABDI), where he leads the association’s lobbying and policy efforts, working with industry partners and legislators to promote and implement alcohol policy that is supportive and consistent with the three-tier regulatory system. His background includes more than a decade in state government, including serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Illinois Senate President.
