Dimitrios G. Christopoulos will examine recent developments in the enforcement of alcohol trade practice laws and commercial bribery risks on the panel titled “Trade Practice in Practice” at the Annual Alcohol Law and Policy Conference, hosted by the Center for Alcohol Policy. The session will take place on Wednesday, August 27, at 3:15 – 4:15 pm CT at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois.

Reflecting the framework established by the Federal Alcohol Administration Act of 1935 and the 21st Amendment, the panel will explore how modern marketing, distribution and partnership strategies are challenging long-standing trade practice laws. Dimitri will join Center Advisor Jim Hall, former General Counsel of the California ABC Matthew Botting and Legal Counsel for the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, Richard Haymaker, to examine enforcement trends and key considerations for regulators and industry members to ensure compliance and uphold fair competition.
